Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin visited the headquarters of InfoWatch Group, a Russian vendor of end-to-end enterprise cybersecurity solutions, and met InfoWatch Group President Natalya Kaspersky, as well as the company’s employees. The Moscow Mayor visited the InfoWatch headquarters jointly with Alexei Fursin, Head of Moscow Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development Department, and Eduard Lysenko, Head of Moscow IT Department, and discussed how to support high-tech companies in Moscow, including via the establishment of special technoparks.

Insiders Compromise Three Times More Data than External Intruders in H1 2018

InfoWatch Analytics Center has released a global report on H1 2018 confidential data leaks. The period under review saw a total of 1,039 registered leaks, which is 12% more than in H1 2017. For the first time in the history of InfoWatch reports (since 2004), the volume of globally compromised records dropped by more than three times (7.8 billion to 2.4 billion records YoY). The volume of externally compromised data reduced 10 times to some 0.5 billion records, while the number of records exposed from the inside came to 1.5+ billion records, including personal information and payment details.

Healthcare Data Leaks in Russia Doubled YoY

According to the Global Healthcare Data Breach Report prepared by InfoWatch Analytical Center for 2017, the number of registered personal data leaks worldwide, including social security numbers, credit card details, specific health records, and medical histories of patients, dropped by 7.7% (down to 370 cases) YoY, with the volume of records compromised as a result of data leaks almost halving (from 26.8 million to 14.2 million records).  At the same time, the number of healthcare data leaks skyrocketed (more than twofold) in Russia.

Ajman University Students Complete Intern Training in Enterprise Cybersecurity at InfoWatch Gulf

As part of educational cooperation between InfoWatch and the Emirate of Ajman, students of Ajman University’s College of Information Technology (UAE) have completed an intern training at InfoWatch Gulf, a Middle East representative office of InfoWatch Group. The 6-week training program developed by InfoWatch Group specialists covered the study of the vendor’s business processes and the operating of its enterprise cybersecurity systems.
