Natalya Kaspersky, President of InfoWatch Group, took part in the parliamentary hearings on shaping legal background for digital economy funding and development, held at the Russian State Duma and chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin. Natalya Kaspersky spoke about challenges and threats coming from digital transformation and fast adoption of innovations, stressing the risk of remote control and Big Data being used for geopolitical analysis and calling for a ‘going slow to go fast’ approach to avoid digital colonization.
The hearings were attended by Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia; Maxim Akimov, Deputy Chief of the Government Staff; German Klimenko, Adviser to the President of Russia; Nikolay Nikiforov, Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia; Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets; Leonid Levin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications; as well as CEOs of Russia’s leading hi-tech companies.
