InfoWatch launches Traffic Monitor 3.0 for data leak prevention

MOSCOW, December 10th, 2007 — InfoWatch, a leading provider of data confidentiality, integrity and regulatory compliance solutions, has announced the release of a new generation of their confidential data leak detection and prevention system, aimed at corporate channels.

InfoWatch Traffic Monitor 3.0 (IW TM 3.0) is designed to control confidential data leaks via corporate channels, such as e-mail, Internet access, ICQ, printers and removable disk drives.

By using InfoWatch Traffic Monitor 3.0, the security officer can monitor outgoing data on all channels either on-line or off-line. The new post analysis system quickly finds complicated links between data objects, users and events. With these analysis methods, investigating data leak incidents becomes much faster and easier than before. The security officer does not concern himself with which channel the security policy violators attempt to steal data, since by working with a single console he is able to monitor all outgoing data traffic, even beyond the corporate network itself. The system can react to suspicious data transfers in an automatic or a semi-automatic regime.

InfoWatch Traffic Monitor 3.0 has an integrated scenario language, which allows for flexible system setup and configuration, no matter the client requirements. The company plans for a near-future release of configuration packs, which comply with modern security standards and requirements (including the Russian Federal Law on Personal Data).

InfoWatch lowered the system requirements for this generation of products due to an overwhelming demand from its clients, which include the biggest financial, industrial and other Russian companies. The requirement downgrade was done in such a way that the client's small branch offices can now implement InfoWatch solutions successfully. Also, due to popular demand, InfoWatch Traffic Monitor 3.0 is now compatible with other data interception and storage products.

"Our clients have been waiting for this product for quite a while," said Natalya Kaspersky, Director General of InfoWatch. "The first wave of customer response tells us that this product is needed on the market by large corporations as well as companies with 500-1000 users, not only in Russia and the CIS, but in the rest of the world as well. Despite the increasing amounts of competition, including the expansion of western ILP (Information Leakage Protection) software into Russia, the demand for our product is already higher than expected. I am sure the new solution will not let our clients down, since we were relying on our experience with over 50 similar products in the past while making it. I would like to thank all of our clients and partners for their invaluable advice during the creation and testing of the new generation of the software."
