At the 15-th international conference “Bank systems and networks” which took place on June, 15-21 in Yalta InfoWatch presented its technology for selecting and implementing DLP (Data Leak Prevention) solutions in the financial sector companies. The conference is organized by the National Bank of Ukraine and the Center of Banking Informational Technologies “CEBIT”.
InfoWatch was represented by Midkhat Semirkhanov, the InfoWatch’s regional development director. In his report devoted to the experience of DLP systems implementation, the reporter has focused on the special features of DLP systems use in the financial sector companies.
The financial activity is regulated by national and international normative acts and standards. Financial companies may store the most sensitive personal data. That is why the problem of informational security risks is not less significant (and according to some parameters it is much more significant) than in other spheres.
In the course of his speech Midkhat Semirkhanov gave examples of DLP system implementation in the financial companies of Russia and the CIS countries, told about solution selection methods, described the existing problems and how to solve the problems during implementation of a DLP system and touched the subject of specific character of legal support provided when the systems are used in the banking sphere.
“Today the financial companies pay much more attention to information security” – says Midkhat Semirkhanov. “The Yalta conference, the event in which the leading Russian and CIS financial companies take part, has confirmed the growing concerns and the desire of companies to protect customer’s confidential data.”
