InfoWatch, a developer of solutions for corporate clients against internal threats, and ExlTend, a famous IT-system provider in Kazahstan, on February 28 hosted a joint conference in Alma-Ata, entitled “Information Security and Internal Threats”. The conference was the first of its kind, focusing on solutions of confidential information leaks protection.
The conference aroused the interest of participators, amongst whom were representatives of leading Kazahstan government and commercial organizations, such as specialists from the National Bank of Kazahstan, The Medium and Small Business Support Fund, TemirBank, Alliance Bank, NurBank, Turan-Alem Bank, Eurasia Bank and Ronex Security.
The conference began with an introduction by Victor Isacov, the director-general of ExlTend, followed by “Internal threats in numbers and facts”, a presentation by Evgeny Preobrazhensky, the director-general of InfoWatch, “Control and Protection of information against internal threats — the InfoWatch solution” and “InfoWatch solution introduction methods” by Dmitry Buldakov, the corporate clientele manager of InfoWatch.
According to the participators' opinion, the speakers showed very interesting and deep analytical data regarding internal threats. The results of different studies shown aroused the interest of the seminar participators towards InfoWatch solutions, which shows that InfoWatch products are needed on the Kazahstan confidential information protection market.
During the business negotiations, which occurred the day before the conference, the representatives of InfoWatch and ExlTend came to the conclusion that an official partnership is necessary, and agreed to begin drawing up the terms of the said partnership.
