Riyadh, KSA: InfoWatch, a global IT security company, and the Gulf Bureau for Research and Economic Consultations, a Saudi Arabian research and consulting company, today hosted their first IT Security Summit at Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh. The Summit was attended by IT decision makers in the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia.
The latest trends in the IT security industry, including data leakage prevention (DLP), Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC), Social Media Monitoring (SMM), and the increasing number of solution implementation needs in the Kingdom were discussed and concerns around IT security were addressed.
«Our main aim of hosting this Summit was to exchange information and experiences in the fields of cyber defence and IT security, with the ultimate goal of aiding companies in KSA combat security threats. We are pleased with the success of the event and hope the attendees now have a clear plan for implementing the right IT solution to combat security threats», said Alexander Zarovsky, International Business Chief, InfoWatch.
«Companies are increasingly deploying DLP solutions, as a result of the governments tightening regulations on IT compliance as well as with the increasing number of recent political data leaks. We hope to increase awareness of the need for such solutions, particularly in the KSA market», added Alexander.
In addition to the above, InfoWatch also presented the cloud security concept and architecture for 2020 which closely links cloud technology to business benefits, and views such solutions as being an integral part of corporate business processes.
