At the Infosecurity Europe 2009 exhibition, InfoWatch demonstrated its DLP solutions which attracted the interest of the mass media, visitors, potential partners and customers of the region. InfoWatch’s innovate DLP conception is one of the topical subjects in the post-exhibition publications of the British IT mass media.
InfoWatch’s representatives conducted negotiations targeted at establishing a partner network of InfoWatch in Great Britain, with British distributors and resellers. There was also a set of meetings with potential corporate customers of the region who were looking for a solution against leaks of confidential data in addition to deploying protection from external threats.
The DLP conception offered by our company aroused great interest among the local mass media and the visitors of InfoWatch’s display stand. An effective DLP system must involve 3 elements of protection from data leaks: through network data transmission channels (e-mail, the Internet), from local computers (printing using local printers, saving to mass storage devices), and when portable data carriers are lost or stolen. These elements are implemented with integrating linguistic analysis technologies, fingerprints, tags and file attribute analysis to a DLP solution and also mandatory encryption of data.
This conception was presented to the participants of the Business Theater conference, which was held within the context of Infosecurity Europe, by Infowartch’s VP Sales & Marketing Rustem Khayretdinov. In his speech, Rustem put into practice a new term – Zero day documents: new/incoming documents or the drafts of these documents which were accidentally not indexed and classified as confidential data, but which in fact contain confidential information. Only the linguistic analysis technologies which are implemented in InfoWatch’s solutions can detect and prevent an attempt to compromise the data.
The issues of internal threats to corporate internet security and the methods for solving the problem were widely covered at the display stand of the parent company Kaspersky Lab. The presentation of Rustem Khyretdinov “Р Р Р‹confidential data protection during the crisis” gathered a large audience every day. In general, the exhibition brought InfoWatch the highest business activity.
