The German company EgoSecure, a member of the InfoWatch Group, has acquired the FinallySecure business line (full disk encryption) from the large German IT solution developer SECUDE AG. This acquisition allowed EgoSecure to purchase the disk encryption technology which has been used for many years in EgoSecure EndPoint. Now, this technology will be supported and developed within the company. This will enable a considerable increase of profit from this business line for EgoSecure, and also bring an expansion of its customer portfolio with current customers of the Secude encryption system.
This deal highlighted InfoWatch Group's steadfast strategy to invest into companies from various segments of the IS industry, in order to build a major international IS holding.

The strategy of the InfoWatch Group entails regular investment in companies from various areas of information security. In 2010, InfoWatch Group incorporated two Russian companies, Kribrum, a developer of IT systems for monitoring social networks and company reputation management, and Cezurity, a developer of solutions for counteracting targeted attacks. A year later, the InfoWatch family was joined by the German company EgoSecure. In 2012, the Group invested in APPERCUT (Canada), adding a solution for code analysis, finding malicious backdoors and protecting against insider programmers, to the InfoWatch product line. Last year, InfoWatch invested in Taiga, a new startup Russian company, which is developing an innovative system for protection of mobile devices against tracking and data theft.
