InfoWatch Analytical Lab recently issued their 5th Global Data Leakage Report for the first half of 2013. The report includes database of global data leaks incidents that have occurred in organizations as a result of the inadvertent or intentional actions of their employees, and which have been reported in the media or other publicly available sources (including blogs and web forums). Governmental organizations and municipal institutions continue to be the main source of personally identifiable data leaks at 30%, and the majority of information leaks – 93.8% – involve personal data.
