InfoWatch, a developer specialising in protection for businesses against internal threats, has appointed Denis Zenkin as marketing director. His duties will include developing and implementing the company's marketing strategy, including the full product marketing and marketing communications cycle.
Between 1999 and 2004, Denis Zenkin worked at Kaspersky Lab, first as a marketing manager, then as a PR manager and finally as head of corporate communications and PR. During this period the company developed a successful public relations program and promoted products and services throughout Russia and beyond. An opinion survey of Russian print and Internet journalists carried out by PR Link ranked Kaspersky Lab PR department top. Data provided by the English company PR Audit for the first half of 2004 rated the company's recognition factor above competitors such as Symantec, McAfee and Trend Micro in European media.
Denis was born in 1974, and graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Faculty of International Economic Relations, and the G.B.Plekhanov Russian Economic Academy, where he trained as an economist-mathematician. He has a PhD in Marketing and speaks English, Serbo-Croat and Bulgarian.
