The integrated solution combines the benefits of Oracle Information Rights Management (Oracle IRM) – centralized access control and policy-based sensitive data encryption – with InfoWatch Traffic Monitor cutting-edge dataflow monitoring and analysis technologies.
Moscow, Russia – January, 20, 2010 – InfoWatch, a leading provider of sensitive information monitoring and analysis technologies, has announced today the launch of integrated InfoWatch Traffic Monitor and Oracle IRM solution to protect enterprise confidential data against misuse and unauthorized distribution.
The solution combines the centralized access control and audit of all operations with electronic documents with information flow monitoring and InfoWatch unique linguistic analysis (with
morphologic support for English ,German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, etc.).
“The Integrated InfoWatch and Oracle solution clearly showcases how collaboration of industry leaders and expertise sharing can result in a comprehensive product that fully addresses enterprise data security needs, providing efficient corporate information flow management and utmost sensitive data protection,” said Natalya Kaspersky, CEO of InfoWatch.
The solution features centralized monitoring of access to confidential documents at the stage of their creation, storage or distribution inside or outside the corporate network, secure revocation of access to confidential documents on their validity period expiration, monitoring of all possible confidential data leakage channels (web, e-mail, IM, local and network printing, information copying to removable media and portable devices), centralized audit of all operations with confidential documents and unified storage of information about data leakage incidents for further retrospective analysis.
Access management is executed at the level of roles and templates (security contexts), and not at the level of separate files and users, which enables increased controllability and scalability.
“This solution demonstrates the benefits of a holistic data security approach for enterprise customers,” said Dmitry Shepelyavy, Sales Director, Oracle Fusion Middleware Oracle, Oracle CIS. Oracle Information Rights Management is the key of this holistic approach, protecting confidential electronic documents regardless of their format, storage location and workflow system.”
One of the main benefits of the integrated solution is the feature to prevent leakage of parts or quotes from IRM-protected documents: InfoWatch Traffic Monitor analyzes the contents and formal attributes of IRM-encrypted e-mails and features digital fingerprinting of IRM-encrypted contents to ensure that no parts or quotes from these documents can leak outside the network.
The solution controls information transfer via removable storage, optical media, web uploads and e-mails with attachments. A flexible policy can be configured to enforce IRM-encryption of sensitive e-mails.
InfoWatch unique linguistic analysis technology allows controlling contents and distribution channels of IRM-encrypted files and messages and detecting quotes from them in corporate information flow.
The integrated solution supports all major Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office versions and the majority of document formats to keep implementation cost at minimum.
