InfoWatch Group Strengthens Cybersecurity Ties with Egypt

Natalya Kaspersky, President of InfoWatch Group, a Russian vendor of end-to-end enterprise cybersecurity solutions, has visited Cairo as part of the delegation of Russian IT companies headed by Konstantin Noskov, Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media. InfoWatch President took part in the round table for Russian and Egyptian companies at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt and the bilateral session on information security.

At the session, attended by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt, as well as heads of regional municipal bodies, Internet providers, and data center operators, Natalya Kaspersky demonstrated InfoWatch solutions for protection against data leaks and other internal and external cyber threats, online reputation attacks, as well as attacks on industrial control systems.

“Egypt is one of the largest countries and the top economy in North Africa, focusing on further sustainable growth based on innovations,” said Natalya Kaspersky, President, InfoWatch Group. “Russia has developed a wide range of proprietary IT solutions, many of which are recognized worldwide. We are happy to share our cybersecurity expertise and experience with our partners, and thus are ready to export and localize out-of-the-box solutions, provide source code and training.”

InfoWatch Gulf, InfoWatch Group’s Middle Eastern office, has been actively cooperating with Egyptian organizations, having already completed five pilot projects with the partner Global Solutions. Moreover, as part of the visit, Natalya Kaspersky had several meetings with representatives of Egyptian IT companies.

During this business mission, the parties agreed to expand cooperation between the two countries in the hi-tech sphere, including cybersecurity and digital economy development.

In July 2018, Kristina Tantsyura, Director for Business Development in the Middle East, InfoWatch Group, took part in the meeting between Konstantin Noskov, Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, and Ihab Nasr, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Russian Federation, during which they reached an agreement to arrange this business mission.
