InfoWatch Group and Emirate of Ajman to Establish Joint Educational Center in UAE and Collaborate on Emirate’s Digitalization

Natalya Kaspersky, President of InfoWatch Group, has held a business meeting with His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council. The negotiating parties agreed to jointly develop IT and cybersecurity educational programs and drive new technology adoption by Ajman government bodies.

Furthermore, Natalya Kaspersky and Ohoud Ali Shehail, Director General of Ajman Digital Government, signed a bilateral agreement, pursuant to which InfoWatch shall support Emirate’s digitalization and contribute to the adoption of advanced Russian cybersecurity solutions by Ajman authorities and businesses.

As a result of the negotiations, InfoWatch will also take part in the Information Security Program of Ajman Digital Government, including the launch of InfoWatch Traffic Monitor proof of concept at Ajman Government and the establishment of a joint cybersecurity educational center in the Emirate.

In addition, InfoWatch signed a multilateral memorandum of international cooperation aimed at reinforcing Ajman’s information security, with other parties including Ajman Digital Government, InfoWatch Gulf, Ajman University, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech, Russia), and National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE, Russia).

“The agreements reached by InfoWatch and Ajman Government have become yet another step of our cooperation and a new milestone for InfoWatch in the Middle East,” said Natalya Kaspersky. “I am confident that InfoWatch’s long-term experience and expertise in enterprise cybersecurity, as well as our high-tech specialist training programs and achievements will contribute to the creation of an effective digital ecosystem in the Emirate of Ajman.”

“The signed memorandum shows our interest for cooperation with Ajman Government and Ajman University,” noted Ivan Prostakov, Vice Rector for International Affairs, HSE University. “We are planning to develop a wide range of educational programs in the Emirate, including joint programs with InfoWatch in cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Prototyping of future cities and other tailored programs”

It should be noted that InfoWatch and Ajman Government discussed collaboration opportunities as part of the Arab delegation’s visit to Russia in March 2018.
