InfoWatch Group Reports the Growing Demand for Russian Cybersecurity Tools by Southeast Asian Enterprises

InfoWatch Group has unveiled localized enterprise cybersecurity products and solutions to customers in Southeast Asia at the IFSEC Southeast Asia 2017, the key security, fire and safety event in the region, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As part of this international expo, InfoWatch reached preliminary partnership and cybersecurity awareness training agreements with several local enterprises.

At its booth, InfoWatch welcomed over 1,000 IFSEC attendees and demonstrated InfoWatch Traffic Monitor, the company’s flagship solution for data leak prevention and enterprise protection against internal cybersecurity threats, including InfoWatch Vision — an investigation module; InfoWatch Person Monitor — a system that continuously monitors personnel’s working activity and utilization of corporate resources; and InfoWatch Attack Killer — a cyber shield for online banking, e-commerce, e-government portals, web stores, and other web resources.

Our products and solutions designed to protect enterprises against internal threats were the biggest attraction,” said Vladimir Shutemov, Chief International Business Development Officer and Head of Kuala Lumpur Office, InfoWatch Group. “In 2014, Malaysian government adopted a personal data protection law that obliged local businesses to install relevant technical products. Over the last three years, Southeast Asian markets have shaped specific requirements for suppliers of cybersecurity tools. Local businesses are interested in partnering with providers of a full range of services: from consulting and classification of customer’s data to system implementation and cybersecurity policy setup, including comprehensive support and personnel training. We hope that new InfoWatch office in Kuala Lumpur will cover the needs of our regional customers in full.” Just for reference: the company opened InfoWatch SDN BHD, its full-service representative office, in Kuala Lumpur in 2017.

At the IFSEC 2017, InfoWatch executives also held work meetings with representatives of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the largest technical university in the country; Cyber Crime division of Royal Malaysia Police; and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) that regulates national digital economy.
