InfoWatch Gulf CEO Attends 8th Russian-UAE Commission Meeting

Kristina Tantsyura, Director for Business Development in the Middle East at InfoWatch Group and CEO of InfoWatch Gulf, has taken part in the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-UAE Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation held in the city of Kazan and joined by Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Trade and Industry, Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, as well as government officials and business representatives from both countries. The meeting covered a wide range of issues of bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation, including activities in the IT and telecom industries.

Denis Manturov told the attendees that joint digital technology projects will produce significant economic results in the nearest future, particularly noting the initiative to establish a center that will support the Russian export of information and digital technology in Dubai Internet City, a free economic zone. The project is being implemented by the Russian Export Center jointly with Skolkovo Foundation, InfoWatch Group and other industry players.

Kristina Tantsyura, CEO of InfoWatch Gulf, noted that the creation of cybersecurity systems is one of the key priorities of the bilateral IT cooperation.

UAE businesses and government are becoming more and more interested in Russian IT products year after year,” said Kristina Tantsyura. “And we were happy to see that the Intergovernmental Commission paid great attention to high-tech and cybersecurity sectors at the meeting. As a Russian company actively growing in the Middle East, we welcome the very timely decisions to create a work group for joint IT projects and open a center that will support the Russian export of information and digital technology. These initiatives will take the cooperation between Russian and UAE businesses and government agencies to a completely new level.

In 2018, Kristina Tantsyura became a board member of the Russian Business Council in Dubai (UAE), where she is in charge of Innovation Technologies and IT. Kristina is to bring in new high-tech and IT companies from Russia and strengthen the ties with relevant government authorities and businesses in UAE.
