System Requirements

Hardware base evaluation:

Hardware is given for all InfoWatch products in particular deployment based on number of workstations (users) monitored.

Assuming that Customer needs to install DLP system in 2-3 clusters, Hardware evaluation is given for clusters for 300-500 and 1000 users respectively. Hardware configurations are given for server units only.

As customer network is differentiated in branches then each major branch will require its own cluster of InfoWatch enabled servers. System size will depend on total user’s number in customer branch. End-point client’s requirements for Device Monitor and CryptoStorage Enterprise are given in corresponding products profiles.

Hardware base evaluation for optional integrated solutions (with Oracle IRM or Bluecoat Proxy SG) is provided upon customer request.

Important note: it should be pointed out that assumptions are approximate, since the main determining factor is the amount of traffic, not the number of users.

300-500 users cluster: 4 server units required

Note: For cluster used for 1000 users, differentiation for Traffic Monitor servers is required, two type of server are deployed:

  • Traffic Monitor Sniffer server – for monitoring/intercepting block
  • Traffic Monitor server - for content analysis engines
