Reveals Smart City Data Security at Arab Future Cities Summit

InfoWatch Group, a Russian vendor of end-to-end enterprise cybersecurity solutions, will be an official partner and gold sponsor of the fourth Arab Future Cities Summit (AFCS Dubai) 2017, which is dedicated to smart city development and will be held on October 30-31 in Dubai, UAE. During the summit, InfoWatch Group will showcase its solutions that effectively ensure information security of technological processes and production systems being a part of the smart city concept.

The Russian vendor’s booth will feature insider threat protection solutions for smart systems of SME enterprises (InfoWatch Person Monitor), medium-sized and large enterprises (InfoWatch Traffic Monitor), as well as TaigaPhone hardware and software suite that controls smartphone use at work. Moreover, the AFCS Dubai attendees will have an opportunity to learn about InfoWatch Attack Killer designed to protect smart systems of online banking, e-commerce platforms, interactive portals and other web resources, as well as InfoWatch ASAP solutions and services tailored to safeguard automated industrial control systems.

During the plenary session of the summit, Natalya Kaspersky, President of InfoWatch Group, will speak about the risks caused by omnipresent digitalization, Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), as well as approaches to establish secure and comfortable environment of a smart city. The panel discussions will be joined by Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development (UAE), Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, Fida Mohammed AlHammadi, Head of Research and Building Systems section, Building Department at Dubai Municipality, Samira Al Rais, Director of Policy and Strategy for Sustainable Development Department at the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai.

“The ever-increasing number of emerging technologies for smart devices and systems that merge into our everyday life brings not only new opportunities, but also serious threats,” said Kristina Tantsyura, Business Development Director for the Middle East at InfoWatch Group and Director of InfoWatch Gulf. “Thousands of IoT devices lack any sensible protection and remain exposed to cyber-attacks.

Most vendors use their own proprietary software and architectures for such devices, and, unfortunately, think little of security issues. This is a global challenge that will require the alignment of approaches and international consensus.”

Thinking proactive, InfoWatch Group is expanding its presence on the global cybersecurity market in 2017, and has already opened its foreign offices in the key sales regions, including InfoWatch Gulf in Dubai, UAE, and InfoWatch SDN BHD in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The flagship products for the Middle East are InfoWatch Traffic Monitor with InfoWatch Vision module onboard, InfoWatch Attack Killer, as well as a service and solution offering for industrial control system protection. TaigaPhone hardware and software suite was unveiled to the Middle East market during GITEX Technology Week 2017 in Dubai.
