InfoWatch ASAP is compatible with Schneider Electric equipment

InfoWatch Group, a Russian vendor of enterprise cybersecurity solutions, and Schneider Electric, an industrial automation company, have successfully completed joint testing of InfoWatch Automation System Advanced Protector (InfoWatch ASAP), a hardware and software suite designed to protect industrial control systems (ICS), on Schneider Electric’s Modicon equipment.

Information security requirements for industrial control systems on mission-critical sites of Russia are established by the Russian Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) through Order No. 31 dated March 14, 2014. The testing proved that InfoWatch ASAP properly protects Schneider Electric equipment against cyber threats in full compliance with Russian laws and is fault tolerant in case of emergency at an enterprise.

InfoWatch ASAP detects targeted attacks and intrusions into IT infrastructures of mission-critical sites by revealing vulnerabilities in industrial control systems, blocks unauthorized network connections, and prevents technological process progress leaks.

The tests we performed jointly with Schneider Electric and our partner ASP Labs demonstrated that InfoWatch ASAP, an ICS protection system, ensures end-to-end enterprise cybersecurity without affecting the operation of high-tech Schneider Electric equipment,” said Mikhail Smirnov, Head of ICS Protection Business Practice. “We believe our solution will be in demand by major manufacturing enterprises that use equipment from leading global vendors.

The ICS Protection Business Practice offers a range of information security services for each ICS lifecycle stage, such as process system cybersecurity audit, and its InfoWatch ASAP suite for technology networks that features firewall, intrusion detection, and site security analysis modules.
